Albanian-American Development Foundation, President Begaj meets with Granoff:

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Bajram Begaj, received today in a meeting the Chairman of the Board of the Albanian-American Development Foundation, Mr. Michael Granoff, as well as the executive directors of the AADF.

The meeting focused on the latest projects of this foundation, which aim to develop the agricultural sector, tourism, children's education in the field of artificial intelligence, as well as connecting the Diaspora's scientific research community with Albanian institutions.

The meeting appreciated the AADF's cooperation between Albanian academics in the Diaspora and higher education institutions in Albania through the "READ Fellowship", as well as projects for the preservation of cultural heritage, the promotion of tourism and economic development for the benefit of Albanian entrepreneurs and citizens.

The Head of State praised the long-term contribution of this foundation, which has provided tangible results in many areas of the country's development and which currently continues this tradition with 37 projects in all sectors with a fundamental impact on advancing this development.

The President of the Republic congratulated Mr. Granof on the "TOKA" initiative, which aims to develop the agricultural sector in Albania in line with European Union and American standards.

"The agricultural sector needs to increase productivity and competitiveness, quality standards and food safety," emphasized the President of the Republic, and in this regard, the Albanian-American Development Foundation project brings, through expertise and investment, support for rural development and income generation.

President Begaj thanked the heads of the foundation for achieving inclusion in UNESCO in a relatively short time thanks to the in-depth expertise of our national values, such as: "Xhubleta" and "Lahuta".

The Head of State also praised the ambitious initiatives to add other elements to the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List, such as: "Dollia", "Moti i Madh", "Plisi" and the National Folklore Festival of Gjirokastra, which are already part of our National Heritage Register.

"Your projects are tangible, appreciated by Albanians and institutions. Their results can and should serve as models of success to be followed", - emphasized the Head of State during the meeting with the leaders of the Albanian-American Development Foundation.
