ERE, 24 million lek more from regulatory payments - The entity aims to collect 392.8 million lek from 392 licensed companies
The Energy Regulatory Authority predicts an increase in revenues from regulatory fees of companies operating in the energy market. In total, this department aims to collect around 392.8 million lek for 2024 from licensed entities in the electricity and natural gas sector. Meanwhile, compared to a year ago, there are almost 24 million lek more revenues.
This increase may come for 2 reasons. One of them is the increase in the number of licensed companies in the energy sector, as by December 2024 there were 392 entities or 51 entities more than a year ago. Also, the increase in the value of regulatory payments may come as a result of the increase in companies' revenues over the past year. This is because the calculation of regulatory payments for each licensee is made based on the specific share of revenues from the licensed activity for 2024 in relation to the total revenues of the sector.
The tariffs for each entity were determined through a decision approved a few days ago by the Regulatory Authority, following the submission of financial statements by the entities.
Meanwhile, this is the sixth year that fixed regulatory payments of 100 thousand lek are applied to companies licensed in the activity of electricity production, supply and trade of electricity and natural gas that did not have activity in the previous year. This fixed payment is also applied to those entities that have not submitted financial statements.
