How are government residences expected to change? - Finalists present the reconceptualization of Villas in Velipojë and Vlora
The seven finalists of the second phase of "Hospitality Albania" presented architectural project ideas for the reconceptualization and modernization of government residences. The revitalization starts from depreciated structures, into attractive destinations for elite tourism at the Velipoja Villa.
"I would like to look at the floor plan in a little more detail than what we see in this floor plan. Look at the surrounding wall, the central qualities and the natural elements, the veranda from which you can enter from all areas, of course I mentioned all the rooms have access to the forest. Creating something very private, and an intimacy.
The other strategy is about reimagining eco-luxury. These are luxury hotels, but they are also sustainable, able to coexist with the natural environment. We believe that this is luxury, to have a kind of immersion and to be able to live in nature.”
At this stage, project ideas for the Government Villa in Vlora were also presented.
"This whole area, where there is an existing building that is proposed to have a luxury complex with 50-60 rooms, to have an economic visibility. There is a strong density. We have worked within the framework of the existing building."
