The Government approves the National Work Program - 250 young people will be employed in the public administration
The Council of Ministers has approved the National Internship Program in the State Administration and other public institutions for young professionals.
Referring to the decision, the National Internship Program aims to involve young people in a work experience in interaction with career professionals in public administration, with the aim of gaining a qualifying experience that influences the development of their professional skills and practical habits in familiarization with the public administrative system.
Meanwhile, the criteria that the applicant must meet to become part of this program are: they must be young people between the ages of 21 and 29; have graduated from a first or second cycle study program; have not been part of the program in previous calls, and have not been employed in public institutions in the past.
The program consists of a 3-month internship period and a 1-year employment period with a contract, which are recognized as work experience during recruitment.
During the internship, young people receive financial compensation of 500 lek per day and training at the Albanian School of Public Administration (ASPA).
The responsible institutions are obliged to appoint contact persons and supervisors for the interns. The number of interns included in the 3-month internship period is not more than 600 interns, while up to 250 interns are selected for contractual employment in the state administration and public institutions. The selection of interns is carried out by each participating institution, based on the assessment of their performance.
The management and coordination of the program is carried out by the ministry responsible for youth, while the National Youth Agency provides funds for financial compensation and training payments.
The announcement of the annual call and the application process for young professionals is carried out through the official electronic platform of the National Internship Program.
