Energy, few offers from private suppliers - ERE has imposed the obligation, but

All electricity suppliers are obliged to publish their offers on the Price Comparison Platform, set up by the Energy Regulatory Authority. However, despite this, currently only 7 of them have become part of the platform, although in total the ERE has licensed 40 companies for this service. In total, there are 20 published offers, as the companies have divided them according to the voltage level where the businesses that can contract suppliers are connected.

The ERE platform was established in the framework of the liberalization of the electricity market, to enable customers to obtain information regarding the prices of electricity offered by different suppliers. Its main purpose is precisely to help customers choose their electricity supplier in a transparent manner, enabling them to compare possible offers from retail electricity suppliers.

The Energy Regulatory Authority's obligation to suppliers came after the expansion of the liberalized energy market with around 2,600 businesses connected to the 10 kV voltage, which from January 1 of last year entered the free energy market, having the obligation to choose their own supplier. This expansion followed those of previous years with the liberalization of businesses connected to the 35 and 20 kV voltage, while this year customers connected to the 6 kV voltage also entered the free market.

Meanwhile, the Parliament has also requested the Energy Regulatory Authority to develop promotional campaigns for the functioning of the Energy Price Comparison Platform in the free market.
