“Here and Now” Exhibition at GOCAT Gallery/ Encounter with the present through the works of Verim Zendel
GOCAT Gallery has opened its doors to the newest exhibition by North Macedonian artist Verim Zendeli. Titled “Here and Now”, this exhibition brings a unique artistic experience, where art meets space and the public directly.
The “Here and Now” exhibition uses the gallery space and monumental works to create an interactive experience on contemporary realities.
"From the beginning of the work to the arrangement or curatorial part, it was done in collaboration with the Gallery, based on the sizes and dimensions I created this concept and these installations. This time I challenge myself, using sculpture, installation, but with a different technique, a combination of installation, sculpture and painting," said artist Verim Zendeli.
Its uniqueness lies in the way the artist transcends traditional forms, combining painting, sculpture, and installation into a multidimensional experience.
"The uniqueness of this exhibition lies in the fact that the artist transcends tradition. So, in addition to traditional paintings, he experiments and displays the multidimensional aspect of his creativity," said curator Jelldes Asani.
The opening of the exhibition was also attended by Samir Mane, founder of the Mane Foundation, who has supported the development of the GOCAT Gallery as an important cultural space.
The “Here and Now” exhibition is open to the public with free admission, from Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 – 18:00, and will remain open until October 20, 2025. A unique opportunity to experience contemporary art in Tirana.
