E-Albania is transformed with new technology/ Platform, rebuilt to provide faster and more comprehensive services
The government platform e-Albania has entered a new phase of digital transformation, introducing the latest version e-Albania 2.0. The platform, which for years has become one of the most used tools by Albanian citizens for receiving public services online, now comes with a completely modernized infrastructure and a new design, with the aim of offering a faster, more practical and more efficient experience for citizens and businesses.
Referring to the Prime Minister's Facebook post, one of the main elements of e-Albania 2.0 is the focus on accessibility and inclusiveness, as the platform has been adapted to be more easily used by people with disabilities. This development aims to create a barrier-free and equal digital public service for all citizens.
The importance that the platform has gained over the years is also reflected in the usage figures. According to published data, over 44.7 million transactions were carried out on e-Albania during the month of April, indicating the continuous increase in the use of online services by Albanian citizens. Meanwhile, the number of registered users on the portal has reached around 3.48 million, a clear indicator of the wide spread of the platform in the country.
Currently, the platform offers 1,279 electronic services, which include personal documents, administrative applications, certificates, payments and various state procedures. This has significantly reduced the need for physical presence at public institutions, saving time and bureaucracy for citizens and businesses.
Another indicator of the increased use of digital services is the number of documents with electronic seals, which reached over 962 thousand this month. The use of electronic documents is becoming increasingly common, increasing trust in online services and accelerating the process of digitalization of public administration. The modernization of e-Albania is seen as an important step towards building a more efficient and modern administration, at a time when digital services are taking on an increasingly greater role in the daily lives of citizens.
