"Two hours of rest for Friday prayers" - New changes to the Labor Code are being discussed
Permission to pray, as well as the creation of prayer spaces for employees who are Muslim believers.
These are the two proposals that are expected to be included in the Labor Code, which were discussed in the parliamentary committees.
"The employer takes measures to provide a special place for employees of the Muslim faith to perform religious rites, in case of more than 50 employees, to create a special environment. The employer must respect prayer times. The employee has the right to a 2-hour break every Friday for Friday prayers," said Lefter Geshtenja, MP.
But discussions on these proposals in the committee continued with verifications to avoid abuses and how this permission for the 2nd pardon schedule will be verified.
