"CVs awaiting a response"/ Hasalla: Every application must be

Online employment platforms have become one of the main ways to search for a job. Dozens of job advertisements are published every day, while the number of applications from candidates is constantly increasing. However, a frequent concern among job seekers is the lack of a response after sending their CV. According to employment experts, there is also the phenomenon of job advertisements in the market that do not necessarily translate into real vacancies.

It seems to have become a trend recently, especially that many companies, whether domestic or foreign, open many jobs, and sometimes it seems like there are thousands of vacancies and there are many candidates applying for these jobs, but these jobs do not really exist. It is a trend and it seems to be used by the companies themselves and their human resources departments, to show that the company is already strong and has open jobs all the time. This definitely affects the potential job seekers themselves. They think of applying as much as possible through these online platforms, such as LinkedIn, Indeed or others that give them the opportunity to apply online to several jobs, perhaps even within the same day. But, as a result, they receive almost no response back. Why does this happen? First, the jobs they apply for may already be filled and it is simply a procedure that the company follows to open the job, while the person who will make the replacement has been found (who may be from within the company, because people within it move to different positions). Or, in this case In this case, positions are filled through other channels that are not direct interviews. The impact is directly on job seekers because it lowers morale. So, if you apply to 10 jobs within a month and don't get a response from any of them, then your morale as a job seeker plummets. And in reality, this happens constantly in Albania, it's a pretty bad phenomenon, " said Gertjana Hasalla, employment expert.

The recruitment process remains another challenge, especially when companies receive a high number of applications for the same position. But Hasalla emphasizes that a response must be given to candidates to minimize expectations for the job.

" There are many applications that are made for the same position and there are about 100 applications, or 200 applications for the same position from different people. Sometimes candidates are not qualified enough to even be interviewed, but they should keep in mind that a proper company should have a system to respond to those people who apply for a job position but are not hired or do not qualify for it. So what we think to ourselves is that if we apply, we expect to have at least one response that our application was received and then that this application after being received, was evaluated, was considered and disqualified for the company's reasons. So there should always be a response back, " Hasalla explained.

At a time when job searching is increasingly moving online, the challenge remains not only finding jobs, but also creating fairer communication between companies and candidates.
