Besmir Beja at the head of Customs - The Council of Ministers approves changes in the management of state institutions
At its meeting held today, the Council of Ministers approved a series of appointments and dismissals at the head of several state structures. The changes aim to reorganize management teams and strengthen inter-ministerial cooperation.
Gent Gazheli has been relieved of his duties as Director General of Customs and appointed Deputy Minister of Environment. In his place, Director General of Customs is Besmir Beja, who previously served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance. To complete the changes in finance, Gentian Kerri is appointed Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance.
The government announced that these changes will take effect immediately. Authorities say the appointments are aimed at improving institutional performance and coordination between ministries.
