Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Minister Hoxha: Diplomacy, the strongest tool to promote dialogue

"In times of crisis, diplomacy remains our strongest tool to foster dialogue, build trust and advance peace." This was the position taken by the Albanian Foreign Minister, in appreciation of his participation in the Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Turkey. In a post on social media, Minister Hoxha writes:
“I was honored to represent Albania at the 5th edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, on April 17–18, 2026. In times of crisis, diplomacy remains our strongest tool to foster dialogue, build trust, and advance peace.
I had two full and very productive days, which provided an excellent opportunity to hold many bilateral meetings with partners on the path to EU membership, reaffirming Albania's unwavering commitment to regional cooperation and a shared European future.
I was also pleased to participate in a panel discussion and present our perspective on “Peacemaking in the Western Balkans”, emphasizing that regional cooperation is not simply the right choice for the countries of the region, but a necessity for stability, sustainability and European integration. In this context, I underlined the importance of continuous dialogue, mutual trust and concrete results that bring our societies closer.
I also participated for the first time in the Balkans Peace Platform, an initiative undertaken by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, which aims to strengthen regional dialogue and promote a culture of peace in our region.
If I were to briefly summarize the many and varied discussions of these two days, I could say: in an increasingly fragmented and unpredictable world, diplomacy remains the main instrument of stability, and only through #sustainablecooperation, #strategicdialogue, and #collectiveresponsibility can we turn uncertainty into #stability and ensure a lasting peace, investing in a better future for all.
