Action on agricultural product invoices - Taxes: 87 entities were checked in 3 days, 20 tons of goods were blocked
Three days after the launch of the tax administration's field action, which focuses on controlling entities to ensure that tax invoices are issued for the purchase of food products, including agricultural and livestock products, approximately 20 tons of goods have been blocked for which the relevant documentation was not available.
These goods belong to 87 entities inspected in the first days of this action.
The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Tax Administration, through this joint action, aim to increase transparency, strengthen food safety and reduce informality in the sector, aiming for every transaction to be reported through the electronic invoicing system (E-invoice).
The tax administration invites taxpayers to comply with the law by issuing fiscal invoices at every link in the tax chain to ensure traceability and transparency from the producer to the consumer.
The Tax Administration emphasizes that individuals registered as "itinerant traders" that, based on the tax legislation in force, are not obliged to issue tax invoices nor to maintain tax documentation for the goods or services they trade.
In order to formalize the agricultural and livestock products trading sector, the Tax Administration notified, on July 7, taxpayers who engage in the trading of agricultural and livestock products, wholesale and retail, that on-site inspections will begin on July 14, to verify fiscalized invoices, in accordance with the law.
To correctly issue these invoices, taxpayers must follow several steps: Select the "autoinvoice" option, which automatically contains the data of the buyer issuing the invoice; The invoice type must be "Purchase from domestic farmers" (Domestic); Enter the data of the selling farmer (name and NIPT); Describe the goods purchased, excluding VAT.
