Is the value of diplomas fading? - Vjerdha: More than half of jobs are offered without qualifications
The number of higher education graduates is decreasing in Albania, while the value that these documents offer in the country's labor market is also fading.
A large portion of employment announcements published online do not require qualifications from the employee.
According to data from the Institute of Statistics, the number of graduates has decreased by 16% in the past 5 years. This does not prevent many young people, and not only them, from becoming part of the labor market in Albania.
The majority of announcements published online that do not require qualifications remain those in services, such as in the tourism sector, which has developed massively over the last 3 years and the demand for staff remains high.
Likewise, in the telephone services sector, where salaries often exceed even those requiring high qualifications.
