Meta, 10 billion USD agreement with Google - Technological giants collaborate on

Google has reached a six-year deal with Meta Platforms for cloud services worth more than $10 billion, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters. It is Google's second major deal in recent times, after the one with OpenAI.

Under the deal, Meta will use Google Cloud's servers, storage, networks and other services. The news comes after Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in July that the company would spend hundreds of billions of dollars to build several large data centers for artificial intelligence.

Last month, the Zuckerberg-led tech giant raised its forecast for annual capital spending, raising the minimum from $64 billion to $66 billion, with a maximum range of up to $72 billion.

Meta announced in a recent statement that he is seeking external partners to help finance massive infrastructure for artificial intelligence, including a plan to sell data center assets worth about $2 billion.

Meanwhile, in June, Reuters reported that OpenAI was also planning to use Google Cloud services to cope with its growing needs for computing capacity, an unexpected collaboration between two major competitors in the field of artificial intelligence.

In this atmosphere of big deals, Google Cloud reported an increase of almost 32% in revenue for the second quarter of the year, exceeding market expectations.
