The agro-industry sector has also followed the trend of increasing exports this year. Data from the Ministry of Agriculture shows that the agro-industry sector recorded an increase of 12.3% during the period January-June 2025, compared to the same period last year.

In the first half of this year alone, our country exported about 75 thousand tons of agro-industrial products.

Agro-industrial products include those that are processed and go into the form of a finished or semi-finished product, such as cereals and their by-products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processed fruits and vegetables, vegetable oils, etc.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the attention of support policies is also focused on agroindustry, with the objective of it taking an increasingly greater share in total agricultural exports, turning it into an engine of rural and economic development.

Meanwhile, in the first half of the year, the export of Albanian wines also increased, thanks to increased production quality, investment in factories, and indigenous varieties.

Albanian wine exports reached 17,785 tons during the January-June 2025 period, marking an 82% increase compared to the same period a year earlier.

Viticulture and the production of quality Albanian wines has today become a key sector for economic development.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Agriculture announced that exports of agricultural products have increased by 10 percent in quantity in the first 6 months, registering 265.9 thousand tons. Meanwhile, among the most demanded products in foreign markets are melons, which have increased by 44% compared to last year. In total, approximately 41,760 tons of melons and watermelons have been exported.

The government's objective is to reach $1 billion in exports by 2030 through support policies for farmers in terms of production, quality, and certification. Meanwhile, Albanian agricultural products are today found in 80 international markets.

On the other hand, Albanian products during the summer season occupy an important place in the domestic market, supplying not only the demand of domestic consumers but also of foreign tourists, who when visiting Albania are more oriented towards local products.
