"With EU membership, 300 million euros/year for agriculture" - Prime

Prime Minister Edi Rama, together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, visited the successful “Vjen” farm. On this farm, a light industry has been established with 1,700 cows producing 19 tons of milk per day.

Prime Minister Rama emphasized that EU membership will enable increased support for this sector.

This year, the innovation that is receiving financing from the Bank of Albania, which makes the support greater, plus we need to integrate into the EU, since we receive 300 million euros directly for agriculture per year. Let's join forces, to give it direction. We need to finish the negotiations by 2027, because to enter the EU, all standards must be met. Standards must be checked, veterinarians must check them. Step by step, we are moving towards development.

Meanwhile, the farmers emphasized that thanks to IPARD's assistance and their dedication and hard work, they managed to achieve this success.

After visiting the "Vjen" farm, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, inspected the progress of works on the Gur-Remas road in Divjaka. Currently, approximately 35% of the road works have been completed, which serves the residents of the village of Remas and all users of the area.
