Kosovo's tourism records - Over 1.6 million overnight stays, over 762 thousand visitors

The tourism sector in Kosovo has seen an upward trend during 2025. According to data published as part of the Hospitality and Tourism research, a total of 762,836 visitors were registered in the country last year, marking an increase compared to 2024.
Of the total number of visitors, 39.3 percent were domestic visitors, while 60.7 percent were foreign visitors, proving that Kosovo is increasingly attracting tourists from abroad. Also, during 2025, a total of 1,653,390 overnight stays were recorded in the country's accommodation facilities. Of these, 45.4 percent were made by domestic visitors, while 54.6 percent were made by foreign tourists. KAS data show that the interest of Kosovo citizens in traveling within the country has increased. Compared to 2024, the number of domestic visitors has increased by 9.1 percent, while their overnight stays have increased by 8 percent.
Foreign tourists have also recorded a significant increase. During 2025, their number reached 463,092 visitors, or 9.4 percent more than the previous year. According to statistics, the largest number of foreign tourists who visited Kosovo come from Albania, Germany, Switzerland and Turkey, countries that have for years accounted for the majority of international visitors to the country. Meanwhile, data shows that during 2025, 639,945 people have made at least one overnight trip within or outside Kosovo, reflecting greater mobility of citizens compared to previous years.
Another important indicator for the development of tourism is the number of foreign nationals entering the territory of Kosovo. According to data collected at border crossings, 7,465,625 foreign nationals entered the territory between January and December 2025, a figure that testifies to the high flow of visitors and the growing importance of Kosovo as a regional travel destination.
