Who drove the growth of tourism in the country? Israelis, neighbors and Europeans. Kosovo holds the vast majority of the flow

Over 700,000 more foreigners entered our country during the January-November period of this year, compared to a year ago.
The majority of the flow continues to be held by countries in the region, especially Kosovo, Italy, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Greece. Over 4.4 million entries were registered from Kosovo alone, with an increase of 5.2%, confirming the decisive weight of cross-border movements and diaspora. Entry from Italy also increased, with over 1.18 million citizens and an annual increase of 2.3%.
With the highest double-digit growth compared to a year ago, we can mention entries from Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Egypt, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Luxembourg, India and Ukraine.
Among the rankings we also find countries with triple-digit growth, such as the case of entries from Israel, the country with the highest growth of 591%.
In contrast to this trend, some Eastern European and other countries have seen a decline in arrivals. Poland, Romania, Russia, Belarus, Spain, Latvia and Turkey all saw year-on-year decreases, while the “rest of the world” category has seen a decline of over 10%. These fluctuations indicate a gradual change in the profile of arrivals by geographical origin.
Overall, the data for the first 11 months show a steady increase in inflows to the country, but with marked differences between countries and regions. The trend confirms the importance of neighboring countries and Western Europe in the flow structure, while some other markets remain more volatile.
