Over 18 thousand new vehicles registered in 9 months - DPSHTRR: Important step towards environmental protection

More and more latest-generation vehicles are being added to the country's roads, reflecting a positive trend towards modernization of the automobile fleet.
The General Directorate of Road Transport Services announces that, during the period January-November 2025, a total of 18,095 vehicles aged from 0 to 4 years were registered.
This number represents a significant increase of 62% compared to the same period in 2023, which indicates the growing interest of citizens in newer and more technologically advanced vehicles.
This trend contributes to improved road safety, as new vehicles are equipped with modern protection and control systems, such as cameras, emergency braking, and automatic warnings that assist modern driving.
At the same time, the renewal of the automobile fleet constitutes an important step towards environmental protection, as new vehicles produce less pollution and consume energy more efficiently. This has a positive impact on improving the quality of life, especially in urban areas, where traffic remains one of the main sources of pollution.
Meanwhile, during the period January-November 2025, 5,312 green vehicles were registered for the first time, marking an increase of 82.6% compared to the same period in 2024.
Fleet renewal is a necessary step towards a more modern and sustainable transportation system.
