Apartments over 130 square meters, Durrës at the top of the list / the capital is ranked third. Berat and Kukësi, at the end
In an analysis carried out earlier by "Scan Intel" it was found that Berat was the district with the highest weight of apartments with an area of less than 40 square meters. The same data obtained from the Housing Census for the year 2023 reveal this time that Durrës leads the list with the highest percentage of homes with an area of more than 130 square meters. The figures speak of an interesting division of housing by districts, reflecting changes in urban development and residents' preferences.
According to the study, Durrës has a significant number of large apartments, with a weight of 4% of the total, that exceed the area of 130 square meters. This shows a trend towards more spacious and comfortable dwellings in this county, where the demand for space is higher.
Shkodra follows Durrës in this ranking with a figure of 3.6% of apartments with an area of more than 130 square meters in relation to the total. Tirana with a weight of 3.2%, Dibra with 2.3% and Vlora with 2.2% complete the five counties where the houses with a large area have the highest weight.
On the other hand, counties like Berat and Kukësi are at the bottom of the ranking with the lowest weight.
Based on the data, almost half of the dwellings in the country had a usable floor area of 40-69 square meters and about a quarter had a useful floor space of 70-99 square meters. At the national level, apartments that are considered spacious, i.e. with an area of more than 130 square meters, have a weight of 2.5%.
