Albania 2030, Rama lures English immigrants with the 'Package of Mountains': I tell you with all my mouth, invest!
Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with Albanian emigrants in Great Britain at noon on Sunday. The hall "The Cooper Box, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Parc", was dressed in red and black by those present at the meeting. In his speech, the prime minister talked about the hours he spent in the British capital, where he met Albanians at every step. He said that he responded to the concern of his British guards with the phrase "Don't worry, I'm home!" Among other things, touching on economic topics, the head of the government told the attendees:
"In 1 decade, we increased the national production 2.5 times, it is the highest growth in the region. The salaries of the administration and the minimum wage are increased. We have increased real wages, which today are competitive with the region, especially in tourism and construction. I say to the Albanians who work abroad today, come to Albania to get a much better income than what you got when you left, but also to pay less taxes. I don't want to scratch the scar of the gray sky above your head here in London.
To every Albanian in Great Britain who has a house in his homeland, I say today with all my heart, invest.
Ask those who have returned, how the account comes out better, here or there.
The 'Mountain Package' gives anyone who has a plot of land or a house in the mountains of Albania the opportunity to invest in their homeland, a job that goes through a much simpler and tax-free process. Build an economy for yourself and grow the economy of the area by opening the doors of hospitality.
The long tide of departures from Albania, for 1001 reasons that are part of the historical trend of movements, as the Irish have done, is coming to an end. I am encouraged that hundreds of boys and girls from the diaspora want to join us in the "Deputy we want" initiative. They know very well that despite everything, Albania has only one state-making force: the Socialist Party. Others are stalls selling flying carpets! They are Sudja with different faces!
Do not think that I am telling you that Albania has become a flower garden. No, I'm not saying that. But what we had a decade ago was a 'God forbid' Albania. Today is an Albania that is being reborn year after year, an Albania with a good name that millions and millions of people come and visit".
Rama's meetings with the Albanian diaspora are part of a tour for next year's elections, where, as is known, immigrants have received the right to vote.
