Integrated system for social services - 226 million ALL for more efficient services for citizens
The National Information Society Agency (AKSHI) has announced the opening of the tender for the improvement and integration of information management systems for economic assistance, persons with disabilities and social services. The estimated value of the project is 226 million 460 thousand ALL.
The systems of Economic Assistance (EA), Payments for Persons with Disabilities (PPAK) and Integrated Administration of the National Social Service are part of the social policies in Albania, which aim to provide support and assistance to individuals and families in need.
The three systems currently operate independently and have separate processes and procedures. According to the document published in the Public Procurement Agency, it is said that working with three different systems has challenges in itself because it is associated with voluminous and repetitive administrative work, the need for constant interactions between them.
Thus, the integration of the processes that realize these systems in a single system will bring benefits, where the effectiveness will improve and the efficiency of social services in the country will increase. Their integration into a single system will create a common platform for managing and analyzing information and coordinating social services.
The Economic Assistance System is used in 383 local units by about 600 users. The basic goal of MIS-NE has been to improve the effectiveness of social protection.
The document states that through the integration and unification of systems, the aim is to reduce costs, improve efficiency and transparency.
A centralized system will improve the monitoring and reporting of social services, providing a common interface for monitoring and reporting, which brings more transparency and allows a more efficient follow-up of services.
It will also improve the citizen experience, providing an easier and more common approach for individuals and families in need, allowing them to experience a simpler and more personalized process to receive services.
