How much did Kosovo Albanians invest in Albania? Over a decade, the figure is estimated at 334 million euros
Businesses from Kosovo appear to have increased their interest in investing in Albania. In 2024, they invested over 95 million euros, mainly in the fields of trade and construction.
Trade and economic relations between Albania and Kosovo have developed significantly in recent years. Bilateral investment demands have led to increased interest between the two countries, which is reflected in investment figures as well as foreign trade year after year.
Compared to 2023, it turns out that Kosovo's direct investment flow to Albania has increased by 1.8%, or by about 22 million euros.
If we consider the 10-year period, we see that in total, investors from Kosovo have invested around 334 million euros in Albania.
The share of Kosovo's investments in Albania in the total is estimated at around 6% for 2024, with an increase from 4.8% in 2023.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the stock of investments from Kosovo has reached 421 million euros, an annual increase of 37%.
Data from the "Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo" show that Albania's investments in Kosovo have also increased significantly in recent years. For 2024 they are estimated at 88.2 million euros, up from 64.5 in 2023. The trend has been increasing in recent years. If we refer to a decade, it results that Albania has invested a total of around 419 million euros in Kosovo.
