In Albania, pursuing a master’s program at public universities comes with varying costs, depending on the faculty, study program, and credit load. A Scan Intel analysis summarizes the official fees for each university, including only tuition fees, without accounting for other additional expenses, such as books.
It seems that the “Faculty of Foreign Languages” offers some of the most affordable fees. For the Master of Science, students pay 150,000 lek for two years, while for the Professional Master, 90,000 lek. The same fees apply to the “Faculty of Law”.
In the “Faculty of Economics”, where competition and demand are higher, costs increase. The Scientific Master reaches 210,000 lek for two years, while the Professional Master costs more, depending on the number of credits.
The "Faculty of Social Sciences", among the most preferred by students, offers the lowest fees: 150,000 lek for the Scientific Master's and 99,000 lek for the Professional Master's.
Meanwhile, the “Faculty of Natural Sciences” is among the most expensive. For the Master of Science, the fee is 168,000 lek, while for the Professional Master – 99,000 lek. This faculty is known for its most demanding academic programs.
At the "Polytechnic University of Tirana", fees for the Master of Science vary according to credits: from 132,000 lek to 180,000 lek for two years of study.
Among the most expensive is the “Faculty of Medicine.” The fee for the Scientific Master is 210,000 lek, while for the Professional Master – 108,000 lek.
In general, fees for master's programs at public universities in Albania range from 90,000 lekë for professional programs at the most affordable faculties to 210,000 lekë for advanced scientific programs at the most expensive faculties. The Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Economics have the highest fees for the Master of Science, at 210,000 lekë for two years.
