The administration is not only "attracting" new applicants/ In 2024, cases of dismissals from the civil service decreased by 36%.
Demand for a civil service job has been high in recent years, with around 17.5 applicants applying for a position in 2024 alone.
A high number of applicants for a position indicates to some extent the desirability of the civil service and the applicants' confidence in fair and merit-based competition procedures. Meanwhile, on the other hand, an "attractive" factor has also been the increase in salaries in the public sector.
During 2024, 1221 civil servants were appointed to civil service positions, but there are also those who were released and are registered as 396 civil servants.
There are two types of releases in the civil service, voluntary and involuntary. Involuntary releases include releases due to administrative violations, disciplinary or criminal measures, determination of civil servant incapacity, restructuring of the institution, and loss of life. The total number of involuntary releases from the civil service for 2024 is 139 or 35.1% of the total number of releases.
From the analysis of data regarding dismissals, it is noted that during 2024 the total number of dismissals compared to 2023 decreased by 20.2%. Cases of dismissals by resignation decreased by 36%. Cases of dismissals due to reaching retirement age also decreased and cases of dismissals due to the disciplinary measure "Removal from civil service" decreased by 48%.
Out of the total of 54 disciplinary measures issued during 2024, the number of civil servants who were subject to the disciplinary measure "Removal from civil service" was 14 civil servants or 25.9% of the total civil servants who were subject to disciplinary measures.
