The budget for education, about 620 million euros/ It is intended to build or reconstruct about 70-80 educational facilities
The funds for the "Ministry of Education" in 2025 are expected to reach about 60.02 billion ALL or almost 620 million euros. Compared to a year ago, it turns out that the budget for the education sector has increased by almost 19% and is estimated to be almost 3% of the country's GDP.
But how will this money be distributed?
According to the figures, around 11.5 million euros will go to planning and management. Meanwhile, about 58 billion ALL or nearly 586 million euros will be allocated for basic, secondary and university education. Funds for science are estimated at 14.9 million euros, while around 6.3 million euros are expected for the development of sports.
With the 2025 budget, about 70-80 basic education facilities will be built or reconstructed, with about 1,000-1,200 classrooms and laboratories, where it is expected that about 20,000 to 25,000 students and 1,500 to 2,000 teaching staff will benefit.
It is also intended to provide transport service, as well as cover transport costs for about 33,000 children and students who live more than 2 km from the school.
One of the other priorities for the "Ministry of Education" is the provision of financial scholarships or food/financial quotas for 3,800-4,000 students with special needs, as well as the most influential children in reducing school dropout, of students of pre-university education from the social strata in need.
According to the report of the draft budget for the next year, the "Ministry of Education and Sports" will continue the development of reforms in education, the support of basic and higher secondary education, the orientation of curricula to the needs of the labor market and their modernization.
Increasing the number of children attending preschool education, reducing the number of collective classes, providing free textbooks, improving school infrastructure, strengthening ICT in education as well as financial support are some of the main priorities of the budget for 2025.
