Budget 2025, 18.53 billion for PPP contracts - Deputy Prime Minister Balluku, in the parliamentary committee for Economy and Finance
The Parliamentary Committee for Economy and Finance is holding a hearing for the review of the budget and investments foreseen by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy for the year 2025. The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, among other things, stated:
"The budget for public-private partnership contracts for 2025 is 18.53 billion ALL for One of the most important contracts is Arbri Street. It ends in March 2025, there have been several decisions of the Technical Council to postpone the term of this contract. There have been problems with landslides in the Murrizi tunnel. If all the processes go as they have gone so far, we hope that the tunnel will open at the end of the year, but the contract deadline is March 2025. The repayment from the state budget will end in 2031.
The second PPP contract is Milot-Morinë. The bridge over the river Drin has been completed and a few days ago it was opened for traffic. We have addressed the problems for the communities, while the value of the bridge is 40 million euros.
The third contract is Orikum-Dukat. The financial repayment ends in 2033, while the road is finished in 2024".
