ALL 1.29 billion for housing - The 2025 budget also provides for subsidies for families in need
The government aims to provide adequate and affordable housing by 2030 for approximately 35,0000 individuals/families who have applied for housing and cannot afford the housing market costs. This program includes subsidies and bonuses for families in need.
In the budget for the next year, 1.29 billion lek are foreseen, which will finance the payment of the rent bonus for about 1,900 beneficiary families. For this purpose, a fund of 200 million ALL will be allocated.
In addition, rent will be subsidized to expropriate 367 families benefiting from the Unaza Madhe Tirana project, at a cost of ALL 40 million.
Meanwhile, investment schemes for the improvement of living conditions for women and men from social groups are foreseen for an average of 348 beneficiary families in need, with a cost of 348 million ALL.
For vulnerable groups, abused women and girls or single-parent families, support will continue with social housing. The cost for the social housing of 970 women and girls of the defined category, according to the law, will be 64 million ALL, calculated as a proportion of the two main products of the schemes.
