Fires do not stop, 3 active hotbeds in the country - Problematic situation in

The Ministry of Defense announced that 27 fires have been reported in the last 24 hours, of which 3 remain active, while 4 others are under monitoring. Three fires have been completely extinguished.

292 operational forces and 26 firefighting vehicles have been engaged in firefighting operations. The Armed Forces have supported the interventions with 80 personnel and 3 helicopters.

The main foci are in the Dibër district. In Vajkal, Bulqizë, the fire has spread over 18 hectares and the intervention continues with the forces of the Ministry of Environment, municipal structures and 30 members of the Armed Forces.

In Lundre, Mat, the fire continues to burn in a significant forest area, while the operation is supported by 30 AF personnel.

Meanwhile, in Mallunxë i Mati, the fire has been reactivated due to strong winds and is oriented towards the villages of Mallunxë and Lis.

In the Dajt-Qafë Priskë area, the situation remains problematic, but currently without danger to residential areas. Firefighting operations will continue with the support of 30 Armed Forces personnel.

The outbreaks in Qafë e Lugut–Vithkuq, Qukës–Prrenjas mountain and Iballë–Fushë-Arrëz are also under monitoring. The latter is located in difficult terrain, where an Armed Forces helicopter intervened yesterday.

The National Civil Protection Agency continues to monitor the situation throughout the country, in coordination with prefectures, municipalities and Civil Protection structures.

Operational forces and assets remain on the ground and on alert, with the priority being the protection of life, housing and the environment.
