Last summer's fires - Over 345 million lek in compensation for 15 municipalities
At its last meeting, the Council of Ministers approved the compensation fund for municipalities whose territories were affected by fires during the summer of last year.
In total, the fund amounts to over 345 million lekë for 15 municipalities. Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, made public the details of the funds for each municipality.
The municipalities of Kruja and Gramsh were most affected by the fires and as a result received compensation of 146 million and 86.6 million lekë, respectively.
Meanwhile, considerable funds have gone to the local government in Delvina, amounting to 36 million lekë and in Finiq, 40 million lekë.
Other municipalities that have received compensation funds for last summer's fires are Dibra 10.5 million lek, Hasi 0.7 million lek, Rrogozhina 1.8 million lek, Kukësi 0.6 million lek, Librazhdi 0.2 million lek, Peqin 4 million lek, Tepelena 0.3 million lek, Kamza 2 million lek, Maliqi 1.2 million lek, Dropulli 7.7 million lek and Malësia e Madhe 6.6 million lek.
