The market needs engineers and economists - Among the unskilled, waiters are a necessity for businesses

The labor market continues to show demand for a wide range of professional profiles. Data from the National Employment and Skills Agency shows that during the month of August alone, over 1,460 job vacancies were listed.
The majority of vacancies are in the unskilled category, with over 1,200 positions advertised. Business demands during August focused on a range of professions, including drivers, butchers, salespeople, blacksmiths and tailors.
But significant demand has also been identified in the accommodation and services sector, especially during the tourist season.
Over 150 vacancies have been listed for the waiter position alone. Meanwhile, high demand has also been registered for employees in the cleaning and kitchen sectors, reflecting the needs of hotel and service structures.
As for skilled professions, around 200 vacancies were listed in August. In this category, the highest demands are for engineers and economists, while the market has also shown a need for teachers and programmers.
August data thus shows a labor market where demand remains high for both basic and service professions, as well as specialized profiles.
