Tirana "discovers" the world of crypto - "Balkans Crypto 2025", organizer: Fear of innovations, but use is growing

Although this approach is already adopted in developed countries, in Albania, investing in cryptocurrencies is still in its early stages. This is also due to financial education.
David Vojliç, organizer of Balkans Crypto 2025: “I think especially in the Balkan countries... I'm from Serbia, so I don't know much about the situation in Albania, but I know that the country has had negative experiences with investing, something similar happened in Serbia. Therefore, whenever new technologies or investment platforms appear, people are naturally afraid to invest.”
However, David emphasizes that in recent years Albanians have begun to "embrace" the idea of investing in the digital world of cryptocurrencies.
“We know that people here in Tirana have started using crypto. They just need the right guidance to make these investments safer and more effective for everyone.”
Albania still lacks a proper legal regulator for the functioning of cryptocurrencies, while the number of investment portfolios by citizens is estimated at around 50 thousand.
