Floating TECs, in production - In 10 months they have generated about 13 thousand mWh, "peak" in August
The two floating TECs positioned in Triport of Vlora have entered into production. According to data from the Energy Regulatory Agency, in total for the period January - October, the "Tigri 1" and Tigri 3" plants have generated about 13 thousand mWh.
ERE reports small quantities produced during the period January - July, which may coincide with the testing period of the plants, while the largest quantity was produced in the month of August with 7,636 mWh of energy.
These are the first figures reported for energy production from floating TECs, as tendering procedures for the purchase of fuel for testing and energy production were developed during the year.
According to the procedure announced by KESH, 21 thousand tons of fuel were purchased, while according to the specifications, the estimated consumption of fuel for 1 mWh is about 229 kg, which means that the amount of fuel serves to produce a total of 91,700 mWh of energy.
For operational purposes, the thermal assets need to be supplied with fuel of the HFO type, with a sulfur content of no more than 0.5%, as well as small amounts of LFO hydrocarbon fuel. The floating TECs were positioned in the Port of Triport in September 2022, following a procedure undertaken in the context of the energy crisis, but have not yet been put into operation.
