Tirana–Durrës/Balluku highway: With European road safety conditions and parameters!
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has published photos on social networks today of what the Tirana-Durres highway will look like upon completion of the works.
Balluku said that "this is the appearance that the Tirana-Durres highway will have upon completion of its expansion works."
According to her, this axis will meet European road safety conditions and parameters, as well as all other elements of urban furniture, lighting and greenery.
The expansion of this axis, which connects the capital with Durrës and which handles a high number of vehicles throughout the year, foresees the addition of two more lanes, bringing the entire road to Category A parameters.
The addition of 4 lanes allows for vehicle traffic at speeds of up to 130 km/h and is expected to significantly ease road traffic, especially during the tourist season.
