Housing with 0% interest, the loan is subsidized by the state - Gonxha: Ease of affordability for special categories
The government has approved a decision that allows for 0% interest loans, subsidized by the state budget for housing. The program aims to facilitate the cost-sharing for specific categories and according to the Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja, the beneficiary categories are:
Families of State Police employees killed in the line of duty
Children in the care of the Republic
Tenant families in former private property
Also, Minister Gonxha says there are additional benefits:
An immediate grant of 20% of the price of the apartment for the families of fallen civil servants and children in the care of the Republic, while also sharing on social networks how to apply.

3. Complete the electronic form and upload the required documentation
4. The application can be made at any time, without a deadline and there is no need for a call from MEKI.
This program is funded by the state budget through the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, as the institution responsible for housing.
Meanwhile, it was the Council of Ministers that once again reviewed the Priority Policies for 2026–2028, including in the Unique List of Projects of National Importance the provision of adequate and affordable housing for low- and middle-income families, separately allocating a fund of 15.5 million euros.
The objective of the program is to provide, by 2030, adequate and affordable housing for approximately 35,000 individuals/families who have applied for housing and who cannot afford the housing market costs.
