Road safety, interventions on several axes - ARA announces the winners for 3 regions, offers 445.2 million lek

With a total value of 445.2 million lekë, the Albanian Road Authority has announced the winning companies for interventions in improving road signage and safety elements on some of the country's main axes. The works will consist of refreshing, completing or adding elements that are missing or have been damaged over the years, as well as installing lighting or other safety elements.
The road interventions will extend to several axes, divided into three main regions. The Northern Region includes the segments Milot–Hani i Hotit, Milot–Lezhë–Shkodër, Qafë Mali–Fierzë and Qafë Bualli–Ura e Cerenec. The winner of this contract is the company Jubica, with a bid of about 181 million lekë, while 3 companies participated in the competition.
In the Center-West Region (Tirana), the projects will be implemented on the axes Bishti i Zhurit–Elbasan, Cerrik–Belsh, Belsh–Kosovë e Vogël, Fier Shegan–Kozarë, City Park–Durrës and Banjë–Gramsh. The winner of this lot was announced to be the company RS & M, with a bid of 168.6 million lekë. 2 companies participated in this tender procedure. The third contract includes the center-east region, which was won by IDK Konstruksion. The bid announced as the winner has a value of 95.5 million lekë, while the interventions include the axes Gramsh – Molë Grabovë - Strelce and Bilisht – Miras, as well as the installation of lighting at several intersections along the road axis Qafë Plloçë – Korçë.
According to the ARRSH, the projects have been designed based on the assessments of design specialists, but also in consultation with representatives of the Road Police, to address all factors that affect road safety. The Road Authority emphasizes that these interventions are fast and have an immediate impact, contributing to reducing accidents and improving the experience for local and foreign road users.
