Today the 8th Albania-EU Intergovernmental Conference/ Important moment in the current phase of negotiations

Albania and the European Union will hold today in Brussels the 8th Intergovernmental Conference on the accession negotiation process, a meeting that is expected to mark an important step in further advancing the reforms and chapters of Chapter Group 1 "Fundamentals".
The conference will serve to confirm Albania's fulfillment of interim milestones, as well as to determine the final milestones for this chapter group, which remains essential for the overall progress of negotiations with the European Union.
According to the agenda published by the EU, the 8th Conference will take place on the margins of the EU General Affairs Council, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Cyprus, Marilena Raouna.
The Albanian delegation will be headed by Prime Minister Edi Rama, while the European Union side will be led by Deputy Minister Marilena Raouna, with the participation of Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos.
The conference is expected to start around 7:00 PM in Brussels, and a media conference will be held at its conclusion.

This meeting follows a series of intergovernmental conferences that have led to the opening of all negotiating chapters, including "Fundamentals", "Internal Market", "Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth", "Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity", "Resources, Agriculture and Cohesion", and "External Relations".
The 8th Conference is considered an important moment in the current phase of negotiations, as it focuses on concluding the interim conditions that determine the further pace of Albania's European integration process.
