"We don't have a methodology for the living minimum" -

The government will increase the reimbursement value for the hygiene-sanitary package for persons with disabilities.

The decision was communicated by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, after the government meeting, which did not provide details on the amount of the increase that will benefit paraplegics and tetraplegics.

Asked by journalists about the overthrow of the amendment of the Democratic Party for the establishment of the vital minimum of 200 euros, Koçiu said that in Albania there is still no methodology on its calculation, while he focused only on the aid that benefits the unemployed.

The adoption of the living minimum would affect every payment, from pensions, economic assistance, disability payments, etc. implying that there would be no lower payments than 200 euros per month.

Meanwhile, Koçiu also spoke about the pension reform, which according to her will solve the issue of low pensions.

But, referring to the legislation in force, the reform affects those people who will retire after it and not the current retirees.
