Schemes, deadline for farmers extended until September 11 - Anyone who does not

Farmers who have been declared winners in the first phase of the application for the National Agricultural Scheme 2026 will have until September 11, 2026 to submit documents to receive financial support.

The Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development informs all applicant farmers under National Support Measures No. 1–7 and No. 9 that the deadline for submitting additional documentation has been extended.

The extension of the deadline aims to provide applicants with sufficient opportunity to complete the required documentation, as well as to facilitate the administration and verification process.

The previous deadline set for beneficiaries of measures 1 to 4 was August 10, 2026.

While for the farmers declared winners in the application lists for measures 5 to 7 and measure 9, the deadline for fulfilling the eligibility conditions was August 13, 2026.

Applicants who do not complete the required documentation within the specified deadline will be disqualified from the support scheme.

The National Agricultural Support Scheme 2026 has marked a high interest from farmers across the country, registering a total of 42,728 applications, while the value of requests has reached 7.2 billion lek, out of 5.2 billion lek that is the fund made available.

The Fier region leads with the highest number of applicant farmers, followed by Korça, Elbasan and Vlora, regions that continue to hold the main weight of production in the country.

This year the National Scheme was organized into 12 support measures divided into 9 direct measures and 3 investment measures, offering financing opportunities in different sectors. The direct measures include 1. Basic cattle herd; 2. Basic small livestock herd; 3. Beekeeping; 4. Sows and gilts; 5. Biological control; 6. Organic farms; 7. Global GAP certification; 8. Support for planted areas; 9. Restocking of inland waters.

The highest interest was for the basic small livestock herd with 7236 applications, beekeeping with 7016 applications, and the basic cattle herd with 6732 applications.

While the 3 investment measures include supporting young farmers up to 40 years old; construction and reconstruction of stables; and agricultural mechanization.

These measures aim to support farmers in reducing production costs, increasing product quality, improving production standards and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
