Situation in areas affected by bad weather - Work continues to evacuate citizens and secure road axes

The National Civil Protection Agency has announced that all local structures and operational teams are continuing their work on the ground to normalize the situation in areas affected by bad weather, including clearing road axes, protecting homes, and evacuating citizens in endangered areas.
The most problematic area currently appears to be the Shënkoll area and the Bregu i Matës plain, where intensive work is being done to close the crack in the Vaini embankment.
"In Sukth, the cleaning of water channels continues with two excavators, while in Ishëm, work is underway to open the road blocked by landslides. In Bubq, Mazhë and Mallkuç, work is underway to normalize the flooded areas and assist residents. In Thumanë, teams are cleaning the main channels and reinforcing the embankments.
In Shenkoll, intensive work is underway to close the breach in the Vaini embankment, where the Armed Forces have deployed heavy equipment and boats to prevent flooding of the Mata Coast plain.
In Shëngjin, work was carried out to remove water from the courtyards of houses, palaces and hotels with 10 Armed Forces forces, 3 vehicles, 3 pumps and 11 municipal forces.
Meanwhile, in Kurbin and Mirdita, work is underway to clear roads and repair bridges. Emergency teams are on the ground to help residents whose homes are at risk from landslides.”
In other regions, the situation appears calm, while teams are on the ground to restore the situation to normal.
" Contractors are clearing stones and debris from national roads to keep the roads passable, while in Ujmisht and Zapod, work is underway to open roads blocked by landslides. In Has, the damage to the damaged bridge is being assessed."
In Shala, the Theth–Ndërlysaj segment has been opened, while in the Ndërlysaj–Breg-Lumi section, teams continue to work to unblock the road covered by landslides.
In Libohova, work is underway to unblock the Suhë-Poliçan axis after the road collapsed.
The Armed Forces and local structures are working to evacuate families affected by the overflow of the Kalasë River and to unblock roads between villages. In Finiq, interventions are being made to remove the waters and support the evacuated families, while in Selenica, landslides are being cleared on the Brataj-Kuç axis. In Saranda, water is being removed from flooded homes and families are being assisted.
In Lushnja, the situation is being monitored due to the Seman River overflowing into agricultural lands. There is no risk to homes.
In Gramsh, interventions are being made to prevent the Kerpicë River from overflowing its bed.
In Berat, protective barriers are being set up and roads are being cleared due to the flows of the Osumi, which has flooded hundreds of hectares of land. In Poliçan and Dimal, interventions are being made in areas where the river has overflowed its banks and affected families are being helped.
In Vithkuq and Bulgarec, interventions are being made near homes at risk from the presence of water. In Maliq and Kolonjë, teams are intervening to repair the consequences of landslides.
In Dibër and Klos, work is underway to clean up overflowing streams and protect endangered homes. In Mat, over 40 forces with specialized vehicles have been deployed to open damaged roads, evacuate families, and manage flooding in schools and homes. In some rural areas in Dërjan, Rukaj, Macukull, and Lis, work is underway to restore traffic.
