87 million lek for the new Kashar-Kamëz electricity network - OSSH: Aiming

SSH Tirana has announced the opening of the competition for the construction of two new feeders from the Kashar 110/20 kV substation and the reconstruction of existing cabins, with a limited fund of 87 million and 225 thousand lekë.

Referring to the document at the Public Procurement Agency, the first phase of the project extends from the 110/20 kV Kashar substation continuing to the vicinity of Blue Boulevard in Kamëz, covering a total length of about 5.4 km.

The investment is planned to be carried out because the area has a high trend of increasing energy demand; there are high loads, and frequent faults occur. The project includes a geographical area of 20 km² and about 10,000 household and private subscribers. The existing feeders are currently at nominal load values.

The area covered by the project is part of the Municipality of Kamëz, developed with existing buildings before the 1990s, as well as new buildings. After the project is completed, subscribers will be able to be supplied by two new 20 kV lines, increasing the level of security and quality of supply.

The electrical network in this area needs improvements, as the installed power in the feeders is greater than their supply capacity, therefore it is necessary to increase the quality of electricity distribution.

According to the document, the construction of a new 20 kV medium voltage network will increase the quality of distributed energy, reduce the number of defects, and guarantee safety in its use.
