"Entrepreneurship, a key partner in policymaking" - Malaj and Ibrahimaj: Business should be prepared for the EU

During the presentation of Fiscal Peace to the business community, the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, underlined that entrepreneurship remains a strategic partner in the drafting of government policies, emphasizing that many of the fiscal and economic reforms are built on the demands and concerns of the business community.
"For us as a government, for the Ministry of Finance and of course for the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, entrepreneurship is and will remain a key partner in the drafting of the policies that we undertake.
I say this, considering that some of the policies we implement come as a result of your requests, based on the challenges or concerns you have in your daily life, or even based on your long-term plans in terms of investments that you would like to make in time.
"It is very important for us, within the framework of the integration process with the European Union, not only to ensure the harmonization of our legislation with the legislation of the European Union, but also to prepare the conditions for Albanian business to be prepared and have competitive advantages before entering the EU market," said Malaj.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, emphasized that Fiscal Peace marks the start of a new chapter of cooperation between the state and business, based on dialogue, trust and predictability.
"Our goal is to enter 2026 with formalized, competitive businesses and with reliable relationships with the tax and customs administration. Only in this way can we move from an economy based on consumption to an economy based on production and exports," the minister emphasized.
During the presentation, the ministers responded to questions and concerns from business representatives.
