"Albania produces the largest Italian brands" - "ALBA DAY" brings together diaspora businesses. Katiaj: Cooperation with Italy, historic
Promoting networking and cooperation between Albanian businesses in the diaspora was the focus of the "ALBA DAY" event, organized by the Albanian Business Network in Italy.
Cataldo Pugliese, President of the Arbëresh Democratic Union (UDA), stated that the Arbëresh of Italy should cooperate more to support and raise the image of Albanians around the world.
"The Arbëresh of Italy, together with all second-generation Albanians in Italy, in Europe and in the world, but especially in Europe, we must implement, begin a journey for the recognition of Albanians around the world."
Fulvio Bariona, Vice President of Cofimprese Italia: "For the strong ties that bind our peoples, we would like to offer our service and our knowledge to the people of Albanian entrepreneurs, but mostly in the Balkans, in Serbia, in Kosovo and so on, other countries."
According to the Vice President of the Albanian Diaspora Business Chamber, Elisabeta Katiaj, through innovation, investment and more, the Albanian diaspora has an essential role in the development of the country.
"The Albanian diaspora in fact and the Arbëresh are not simply our blood, or the language that unites us, but they are the development agent and the integration of Albania into the EU. I say this with certainty, because everything in Albania, innovation, development and others, comes either as a diaspora as an investment, or as a diaspora as a development agent, or as an Albanian diaspora in continuous cooperation and partnership.
The opening of Porto Romano will open up huge markets, it will open up huge opportunities, not only for exploiting Albania for its low costs, or for fiscal advantages, but also in terms of doing business all over the world through Albania.
There will be a continuous development in bilateral relations, which with Italy is not just a matter of saying we are brothers, but the cooperation is historic and currently the biggest Italian brands are being produced in Albania, from fashion, i.e. from the clothing sector, to the automotive industry, to the construction materials industry, currently, of raw materials and that is present".
Also present at this event was the Ambassador of Kosovo to Albania, Kujtim Dyrmishi, who emphasized that this project of cooperation with diaspora networks in businesses is about shortening distances and strengthening our connections.
