Albania, Kosovo and Croatia, trilateral military agreement!
The Ministers of Defense of Albania, Croatia and Kosovo (Pirro Vengu, Ivan Anushi and Ejup Maqedonci) signed today in Tirana a trilateral military agreement that aims to strengthen the defense capabilities of the three countries, increase cooperation in the defense industry and improve military interoperability through education, training and joint exercises.
Kosovo's Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said during the press conference that this agreement is the finalization of a year-long effort that led to the production of a trilateral declaration that paves the way for cooperation between Albania, Kosovo, and Croatia.
"The aim of this cooperation is not a threat to anyone, but it is a message to all those who threaten security, peace and stability in the Western Balkans, among our countries that share common values and interests. We have come together to confront any threat and danger that aims to destabilize the region," he said.
"The importance of this cooperation extends to other areas, especially in terms of the defense industry, training, education of military personnel, while also addressing the issue of the two countries' support for Kosovo's integration into Euro-Atlantic structures," he emphasized.
The Minister of Defense of Kosovo stated that "this document also paves the way for various cooperations, in different fields, to confront modern threats such as hybrid ones."
"I appreciate this agreement as a joint commitment, which does not happen often in the region. We have a declaration among the first that has been made in the trilateral field and that paves the way for other countries to join this initiative for peace, stability and more security," said the Macedonian.
