Albania advances on the path towards the EU - Gonxhja: Group chapters 2 and 3 of the negotiations are opened!
The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, announced today through a post on social networks that Albania is advancing on the path towards the European Union with the opening of group chapters 2 and 3 of the negotiations, which are essential for economic development and strengthening competitiveness in the European market.
According to the minister, out of 17 negotiation chapters, the ministry he heads is leading the talks in 10 of them, playing a key role in this process.
He announced that “ Chapter Group 2 – Common Market, includes 9 chapters, of which 7 are led by the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, addressing important issues for the free movement of goods, services and labour. Chapter Group 3 – Competitiveness, consists of 8 chapters, of which 3 are led by the same ministry, with a focus on competition policies, state aid and the development of strategic sectors.”
Gonxha also emphasized that the commitment to structural reforms and approximation with EU legislation is intensifying, bringing Albania closer to European integration.
