Albania and Belgium, joint platform for illegal immigration - Ministry of Interior: Integrated electronic system for the return process
Albania and Belgium have launched a joint digital platform for the real-time management of illegal immigration cases.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the new system aims to improve information exchange, inter-institutional coordination and efficiency in handling procedures related to immigration and returns in real time. This is an important step in strengthening institutional cooperation between the two countries.
The platform represents a new level of bilateral cooperation, enabling immediate monitoring of cases, updating of data and following of administrative processes in an integrated and transparent manner. According to the announcement made by the Ministry of Interior, the exchange of data between the authorities will be structured. This digital mechanism is expected to significantly reduce procedural delays and increase the effectiveness of the responsible institutions in both countries. This will make the processes standardized, as well as reduce the administrative burden.
With the launch of this platform, Albania is positioned among the first countries in Europe to implement an integrated electronic system for the treatment and coordination of the return processes of illegal immigrants.
Also, through this mechanism, responsible institutions in Albania and Belgium will have direct access to accurate and unified information, which improves operational cooperation.
The initiative is considered an example of contemporary practices in the field of migration management and as a concrete step towards meeting European standards in this sector.
This system reflects the common commitment to the sustainable and controlled management of migratory flows, in line with European standards and best practices. This platform will also contribute to strengthening security and respect for the law.
