Controlled discharges in the Drini cascade - 700 cubic meters/second. Shkodra Municipality is in coordination with KESH

The heavy rainfall that has affected the entire territory of the country has also brought numerous floods to the Drin River cascade.
In a post on social media, Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasizes that controlled discharges from the Koman and Vau i Dejës hydropower plants have begun in this cascade.
Currently, an amount of 700 m³/second is being discharged, in addition to production. These discharges are monitored and managed by hydropower plant specialists.
According to Prime Minister Rama, the Municipality of Shkodra is in constant coordination with KESH to manage the situation and minimize any possible risk to the areas of the municipality's territory. However, up to now, no problems have been identified.
