Saranda invests in depreciated roads - On the eve of the tourist season, the competition for the project opens

The Municipality of Saranda has announced the opening of the competition for the redevelopment of streets and squares in the areas of Gjashtë, Metoq, Bërdenesh, Çukë and Manastir.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the project envisages interventions in the road infrastructure in several segments located in urban and tourist areas. This investment aims to improve the conditions of movement and infrastructure for the residents of these areas, but also for domestic and foreign tourists who choose to spend their holidays in these destinations.
According to the document, three roads, which are currently depreciated and degraded in most of their parts, will be built and rehabilitated. The intervention foresees the design and construction of internal roads with concrete and asphalt in the areas of Metoq, Bërdenesh, Manastir and Gjashtë, including leveling the terrain and arranging the road layers.
The aim of this project is to improve the urban environment and create more functional and community-friendly spaces. This project will be implemented according to contemporary and European standards, turning this road network into an important asset for the development of the area and for improving the quality of life of residents.
Meanwhile, the limit fund for this investment is 16 million and 591 thousand lekë. This investment aims to guarantee increased movement safety for both pedestrians and vehicles, as well as to avoid infrastructure problems in the future, according to the Public Procurement Agency document.
