SPAK report: In 2025 45.4 million euros in seizures, of which 14.5 million euros in cryptocurrencies

During 2025, the total value of seized and confiscated assets is around 45.4 million euros, of which around 43.49 million euros is the value of seized assets, OR around 96% of the total, and around 1.91 million euros represents the value of confiscated assets.
These are the figures presented in the annual report of SPAK, filed in the Albanian Parliament.
According to the breakdown of figures in this report, the value of the seized assets also includes the seizure of TETHER, USDT, cryptocurrencies with an equivalent value of 14.5 million dollars or about 12.4 million euros. This amount of crypto was seized in September of last year.
It is clear that the value of seized assets is significantly higher compared to that of confiscated assets, constituting about 96% of the total for 2025. According to SPAK data, out of the total value of seized assets of about 43.5 million euros, the largest part, about 28.8 million euros, represents assets seized under the Criminal Procedure Code, while the remaining part, about 14.7 million euros, belongs to assets seized under the Anti-Mafia Law.
Throughout 2025, the value of assets seized within the framework of anti-corruption decisions is around 1.1 million euros, while those confiscated are around 100,000 euros.
Another piece of information is that during 2025, the total value of seized and confiscated assets is lower compared to the previous year, decreasing from around 65 million euros to around 45.4 million euros.
