Berlin Process Summit in London, joint statements on regional market and energy
The Berlin Process Summit was held in London, between leaders of the region and those of the EU. The summit focused on issues of security, economic development and migration. The leaders of the Western Balkan countries signed joint declarations on the Regional Common Market and energy cooperation.
Also present at the Summit was Prime Minister Edi Rama, who has been in the British capital since yesterday.
The Berlin Process, which was initiated by the German government in 2014, is an international platform that brings together the governments of the six Western Balkan countries, along with other European partners. Its aim is to increase regional cooperation, support economic development and accelerate efforts for closer European integration in the Western Balkans.
